"Nuclear Weapons Complex", volume 14 in the series “Russia's Arms and Technologies. The XXI Century Encyclopedia”, saw the light. The book opens with addresses by Sergey Ivanov, First Deputy Chairman of the Russian Federation Government, and Sergey Kirienko, the head of the Federal Atomic Energy Agency.
The immediate aspects of the Russian Armed Forces activities in the given field are presented by Colonel General Vladimir Verkhovtsev, Chief of the 12th Main Directorate of the Russian Federation Defense Ministry. The edition is unique in the nature and amount of information it contains. This is the first ever open publication which provides a detailed and systemized account of the history of creation, the current status and major trends in the evolution of Russia’s nuclear weapons complex.
